ALTEK METAL was established in 1987 to be your solution partner in aluminum. Altek Metal, exports its own products to 30+ countries, especially Europe, has become an international reference company in the Turkish and European markets. Altek Metal is Turkey’s only producer of precision milled aluminum cast plates and, since 2023, has been casting recycled aluminum slabs and billets in-house. Altek Metal is also the first Turkish company to produce 7xxx series aluminum billets and pioneers 26–32 inch billet casting. Altek Metal supplies a wide range of standard aluminum products and quickly meets customer demand through its three service centers specializing in cutting, including waterjet, CNC, bar, plate, and roll cutting.
We are the first and only company in Turkey to introduce and produce domestically the 5083 and 7021 alloy aluminum casting plates in the Turkish market. Since June 2023, we have been manufacturing this product under the ALUDUR brand within our own facilities, utilizing minimum 80% industrial scrap for recycling. ALUDUR plates are produced in compliance with the DIN EN 485-2 standard through alloy control. A special heat treatment is applied to make the material’s structure completely homogeneous, relieving internal stresses. Consequently, ALUDUR exhibits excellent workability and dimensional stability.
Under the brand name of ALUDUR PLUS, Altek Metal produces alloy 5083 and 7021 precision milled cast aluminium tooling plates. These plates have a high surface quality of max. 0.3 Ra brightness, narrow flatness tolerances, and, in 1 meter, a +/- 0.1 mm thickness tolerance. Our aluminium tooling plates are particularly preferred in the production of fixture plates and 3D printing beds, as Aludur Plus is characterized by its excellent structural stability and high surface quality. In production, we take away the internal tension of the material through a heating process. Consequently, light milling or hole drilling can be performed without disturbing the surface flatness.
Altek Metal produces cast aluminium billets with a vast range of alloys beginning from 1xxx to 7xxx. The billet diameters range from 5’’ to 32’’ and are produced mainly from clean industrial scraps. On average the scrap usage is 80%. However, for special alloys, 100% primary material is used if needed. Additionally, our billets can be scalped if requested by the customer.
Altek Metal produces aluminium cast slabs made from 80-100% recycled industrial scrap. Our alloys range from 1xxx 3xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx and 7xxx and are cast up to 7 meters. Depending on the purity requirements, it is possible to also cast from primary material. After casting, the aluminium slabs are homogenized, scalped and cut to the required size before delivery.
Altek Metal stocks a wide range of alloys in the rolled plate form: EN AW 5083, 5754, 6061, 6082, 7050, and 7075. With a capability of cutting up to a max thickness of 300 mm, a width of 2500 mm, and length dimensions of 4020 mm, Altek Metal provide users with excellent custom cutting flexibility.
At Altek Metal, we supply 1050 & 5754 5 bar plates ranging from 1.5 / 2.5 mm to 5 / 6 mm. While 1050 is more widely adopted due to its cost performance, 5754 alloy has a higher durability and corrosion resistance due to the characteristics of the 5xxx series.
We offer 6xxx and 7xxx aluminum bars used in a wide range of applications, from automotive to the medical equipment sector. Our stock includes 6082, 6061, and 7075 alloy solid bars produced through the extrusion method, available in T6 and T6511 tempers. Products with diameters up to 250 mm are readily available for immediate procurement. For diameters exceeding 250 mm, we provide precision cuts with our specialized circular cutting machine, offering a tolerance of +/- 1 mm, with a maximum diameter of 2500 mm and thickness up to 510 mm.
The 6082 alloy, known for its high strength, machinability, and corrosion resistance within the 6xxx series, serves as a fundamental component in various CNC machines. We offer a wide range of flat bar profiles in numerous sizes, ranging from 10 x 10 mm to 120 x 120 mm, catering to diverse dimensions.
